Online World

The Online World is different from most of the other subjects because it has an external exam at the end of it. As you can see from the screenshot below, I passed the exam. I also passed the Technology Systems exam too.



The Online World unit is all about the main technologies and processes behind the internet.  Our job was to investigate how these technologies all come together and allow us to look at websites and send information all over the world.

Here is some work I did about the different online services that are available.



We also looked at lots of different devices and considered the technology that allows them to share and exchange information.

Finally we also looked at issues around privacy and security.  This involved studying a few of the laws passed around these issues, particularly the Data Protection Act.
